The Saskatchewan Professional Fire Fighters Association established the Saskatchewan Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund in 1974 as a non-profit registered charity. Our main purpose is to raise and distribute funds to help Saskatchewan families of burn patients with treatment, care, and rehabilitations. All funds raised by us stay in this province. We have also provided the province's two burn units in Regina and Saskatoon with state of the art equipment and the first hyperbaric chamber in Saskatchewan, located in Moose Jaw.
Through the SPFFA, we have been able to sponsor continuing education programs for nurses and doctors who treat and provide care for burn patients in both of Saskatchewan's burn units. We are also dedicated in providing public education and awareness campaigns for burn safety and prevention.
We have over 700 members all over Saskatchewan in our eight affiliates in Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Prince Albert, Yorkton, North Battleford, and Weyburn.
If you are interested in working with our Burn Fund, please contact us.
